Once again, Bell is running a campaign to fill backpacks full of school supplies for elementary aged children.  Locally, we have a goal to fill 200 backpacks for kids in the Huntsville and Almaguin Highlands areas, to be distributed through our community partners:

  • Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka
  • Children’s Aid Society, Burks Falls
  • Ontario Works, District of Parry Sound (East)

We need your help!!

Bell provides the backpacks and every backpack filled stays right here in our own community.  We’ve partnered with the Huntsville Staples store again this year, and they’ve agreed to fill a backpack at a cost of $27 if you’d like to make a cash donation, or you can “adopt a backpack” and fill it up yourself with the items listed on our Official Supply List (see attached).

To “adopt a backpack” or make a cash donation, please contact Tori White at tori-lea.white@bell.ca at our local Huntsville Bell office to make arrangements.  Filled backpacks can be dropped off at the Huntsville Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce or the Huntsville Staples store where Bell will pick them up to deliver them to our community partners.

All adopted backpacks or cash donations need to be received on or before August 15th to allow for time to have them all distributed to the kids who need them before the start of the school year.

Please do not include items of food or clothing in filled backpacks.
