President Len rang the lunch bell late again!! Invited rotarian Doug Fairwall to lead us in O’Canada and Rotary Grace and proceeded to move on with the meeting. Rotarian Rob Saunders wondered that after 8 months of running the luncheon meetings, why we didn’t do our normal toast to the Queen, Canada and Rotary International; poor Len was stuck for an answer but agreed that maybe we should do the “toasting!!”.
In the absense of Debbie K. , Len welcomed our guest speaker Don Taylor. Brandy introduced our newest members, Jennifer Jerritt and Julia French. She also introduced ``soon to be members``, Deb Duce and Jennifer Simpson. Eric Chang, our Rotary Exchange student was recognized too.
Len felt the night meeting last week was a real success! Lots of guests; the Valentine decorations & the fellowship were great. He thanked all who put it together and is looking forward to the up-coming night meetings that will be held the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM.
Peter & Kathleen Miller; Rob Saunders; Len & Nina plus Gord and Fran Mitchell will be travelling to Olkahoma on Thursday, the play that is, at the Bracebridge Sportsplex. We`ll all be whistling........ Oh What a Beautiful Mornin, Oh What a beautiful Day.......!!!!
