On Monday April 8th Derek Liddle picked Ross up @ 0400hrs and drove down to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. The operation was 1st up @ 0800 hrs. He received a lateral half right knee. During my visit with him on Tuesday, he told me that it was just like I said of my knee operation; the hammering and the sawing; just like a pair of rough carpenters!! Oh Dear!! They froze him at the waist, so he could not feel anything; then placed a sheet put up in front of him so he could not see what they were doing. Following all that activity, Monday was a quiet day. Tuesday was different, early AM, his nurse took him for the walk from his room to the nurse’s station, about 20 feet------it was tough, pain # was close to 10, in a pain scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as extreme.  When I saw him in the afternoon he looked just fine, but he was relaxing after lunch and enjoying the scenery out the large window & he looImageed pretty good too in hospital green!! I suggested that we could go for coffee but he declined---didn’t need the walk or the need to release the coffee later as that would require another little walk.  While I was there, the nurse came by with his exercise sheet; it looked very familiar, same ole exercises that I’ve had 3 times!!! Good news, he came home on Wednesday and is doing very well. From my past experience of these type of knee operations, he'll be tripping down the road in the truck by himself in 3 weeks or less. Good to have you back in Huntsville Ross.

This beautiful facility was his home for 56 hours last week!!
