Polio Plus Deposit

Gord Mitchell chair of the Rotary Foundation Committee and Polio Plus campaign went to the Canada Trust building after our Club’s luncheon meeting last week to deposit the campaign’s money. As he crossed the parking lot, Rob Saunders rushed ahead to get into line before Gord got into the Trust Company to make the deposit.

The Canada Trust staff had been tipped off by the manager Will Gibson , so they had drawn lots to see who would be stuck with the pail full of coin!!

All went well and the lady who did the deposit was duly impressed with Gord`s organized approach to the deposit. We both balanced at the final tally of $1560.10!!

I understand that one or two Rotarians are going to donate to the clause and so we will be able to report the final sum in a couple of weeks as we near the budgeted figure of $2,000.00.
