Rotarians are no doubt aware that October is POLIO month in Canada.

POLIO IS STILL HERE! This is an open invitation to all ROTARIANS, Polio Survivors, their families, friends, and ANYONE wanting to be more informed about this disease. Please join us at the GRAVENHURST SENIORS ACTIVITY CENTRE (480 First Street North, Gravenhurst, Ontario) on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Cliff Flavell, a Gravenhurst resident and Polio Survivor will tell us about the history of Polio (first depicted in 1450 BC!); how Polio epidemics affected us personally in Ontario; how Rotary International is helping to eradicate the disease worldwide; how polio survivors are now experiencing returning symptoms of Polio; and why Polio continues to be a threat to everyone who is not immunized until the World Health Organization and Rotary International attain their goal of worldwide eradication. EVERYONE WELCOME. Coffee and tea will be served. It would be helpful if you could RSVP to Mary Leger 705-627-9223 or email: legermary@hotmail.com so that we can plan seating and refreshments. THANK YOU! Mary Leger and Cliff Flavell
