Announcements

Rob Saunders announced that Rotary International relies on continuous donations. Last year Rotarian's did a penny drive called the Red Cup Campaign. It is required that Rotarian's donate $100 per year. Once you donate $1000 you become a Paul Harris Fellow and earn points. These points can be used to give other Rotarian's the Paul Harris Fellow award for their service above self.

This week Rob Saunders congratulated Bob Gibson on his nominated Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Rob Saunders was also awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award as well.

At the meeting we welcomed George Zacal and Brian Brescia into our Rotary family. These gentlemen are new to us, but they are not new to Rotary and we look forward to having them.

Peter Redwood presented all the final Dockfest awards and monies for 2014.

Top Hat House for Youth was awarded $5000 from Peter Redwood and President Ken. Accepting the cheque on behalf of Top Hat was Bob Attfield, Peter Lips and Nancy Warren.  Nancy Warren thanked Rotary for its support.

The winner of Dockfest was Helena Renwick's BIA boat driven by AJ Groomes.

Peter's recap of the Dockfest was very generous to HBR claiming that it was a close race. Jeff Carter from HBR disagreed and claimed that the race wasn't close at all. I am sure that this will promote more strategy building and competition for next year! Peter offered Jeff first pick of the motors for 2015.

Claude Doughty accepted the town's cheque from the Dockfest proceeds. He let us know that the monies will be used for a sign welcoming people to River Mill Park.
