June 25 th Meeting Notes

 

 

President Debbie Knobelsdorf: Hey this was Debbie’s last official Rotary Meeting as the current Pres!! The meeting started on time with the usual call to Bill Sibeon to lead us in the singing of  O’Canada and Rotary Grace.

 

Debbie read a letter as requested by President-elect Brandy Van Gelder. Brandy is taking a medical leave of absence to deal with a suspected cancer issue that she has been diagnosed with.....a tumor in her neck. She and Dave were in Toronto today at Mount Sinai Hospital to have the operation, but in an update later this afternoon, Dave tells us that due to other emergencies the operation did not happen. Now it is scheduled for this Friday. Brandy assured us that she is very positive that all will go as planned and that she’ll be a better Dr. to assist her patients who may be dealing with a similar issue. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with Brandy and Dave as they work though a life’s challenge. God bless both of you and your families. Post Script: Operation was bumped and will happen July 4th. Our prayers are with you Brandy and Dave.
