Girlfriend's Getaway Weekend
Ross Kirwin briefly discussed the “Girlfriend’s Getaway Weekend” which will be held again in our town on November 8, 9, 10th. He was making up a list of members which have their Smart Serve Card, as our club as an opportunity for a fundraiser to run the bar at the Amanda Marshall concert Saturday night at the Canada Summit Centre.
Ross commented that there would be several bar locations at the concert and therefore we would need as many Smart Serve Rotarians as possible. He encouraged the Rotarians who would like to serve but do not have the Smart Serve Card yet that they could do an online program; there may be a session set up in the town to do that also.
At present he is still working with the Town and the LLBO on permits. He suggested that our members would be in our black-and-white attire and that we would provide an excellent service for the “Weekend” event.
