Community Service Project............The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle
Saturday the 15th and 22nd are the Saturday's that our Rotary Club will support Salvation Army in their Annual Christmas Kettle fund raiser @ the LLBO story in Huntsville.
The schedules that are Rotarians will work at 11; 1; and 3 PM with 2 Rotarians during each shift.
We simply stand just inside the first set of doors with the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle and greet the people coming in to their Christmas beverage with Good Morning, or Merry Christmas, or hello person if you know them or it's a nice day and thanks for the donation.
Be sure to dress warmly as it is December and those winds can blow cold!
We will have the schedule at our meeting this week, for you to sign up for a shift. Remember as always, if you are unable to do your shift please contact another Rotarian to fill in for you.
In 2010 our club’s service to the Salvation Army totaled $1910; and in 2011 our Club’s service to the Salvation Army was $2600. The personel of Salvation Army building are simply amazed every year with the amount of money our club is able to collect on their behalf. Let's work to increase the 2011 figure!
