It was Club Assembly this week.

TREASURER:  Debbie distributed the financial reports and Assured us that we are in good shape.

MEMBERSHIP:  Brandy is away and Ken gave her report.  A motion was made that we have one evening meeting on the first Wednesday each month at 6:30.   This motion passed. The first meeting will be in March.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: A motion was made by Will to donate $5000 to Fairvern for an electric bed.  This motion passed. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Ross reminded us that Guys and Dolls is the production being staged jointly by  the Club and the Festival of the Arts. This will take place in April and Ross will be calling on the Club for volunteers.

Feb 23 is the Dwight Winter Carnival and Ross will need Smart Servers for this event.

Feb 26 - 28 is the Ontario 55+ Games.  Ross needs volunteers.

BINGO: All is well here.  Rob will put together a procedures manual for Bingo in order to help any new members get on track.

NEW GENERATIONS:  Eric is doing well in school and with his host family.  The winter orientation for inbounds and outbounds will take place in the first week of February.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE: Cathy reported that the following are the projects in progress: Borehole in Malawi $5000; Computers for the handicapped in Chile $1500; 2 librarys & a cistern in Haiti $1800; Daycare Centre in Barbados for Alzheimer patients $500; Marta & Keith in Nicaragua $2000.  Cathy explained that the $2000 we loaned in Micro loans to Kiva clients has translated to $8000 and 152 loans over 3 years.
